We had quite a discussion about this track at the SCCA General Meeting. Looks like the real deal. Apparently they've got financing lined up, plus others waiting in line!
Bonus, it's original purpose is a bike track. That means long runoffs and no solid barriers.
Any news on the Blimpbase? I heard there was a drift event within the last month, but I haven't heard of any other news.

Sweet!! I just wonder how long it's going to take to build this one.. and with Liberty Motorsports Park is a master planned Motorsports Park development situated on a scenic undulating 810-acre tract in Liberty County, Texas adjacent to the City of Cleveland. Maybe their elevation change won't be just one big speed bump!

Is it just me, or does the layout look like a Formula 1 circuit?
It'll be interesting to see how they structure memberships. MSR Houston has less than $5 million invested (my guessimate) with an entry level membership of $7,000. This Liberty track says they have $50 million on tap, so I wonder how much they're going to charge.

Fomula 1 layouts and motorcycle layouts are generally very compatable, so...

I think they have a AMA Superbike event already scheduled for October or November of 2007. That quick enough?
